# Introduction to eAPT

## eAPT: Liquid Staking Token on Move

eAPT is a liquid staking token that users receive when they stake APT or aBTC with Echo LST (Liquid Staking Token).

***How to receive eAPT?***\
Users can swap aBTC to APT or borrow APT on Echo Lend by depositing aBTC. By staking borrowed or swapped APT on Echo LST, users can earn staking rewards and receive eAPT which can be used to secure other MoveVM chains or utilized in Move DeFi protocols.

## Unique features of eAPT

* **Earns staking yield:** eAPT earns native staking yield from Aptos.
* **Introducing Native Liquid Restaking on Move:** Stake eAPT to secure and run consensus mechanisms for any MoveVM AVS. eAPT enable any MoveVM chains or projects building their own blockchain infrastructure to leverage on Aptos for validation and security.
* **Liquid & DeFi compatible: eAPT** can be used as collateral in lending and borrowing protocols, perp DEXs, and more.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://echo-protocol.gitbook.io/echo-protocol/echo-liquid-restaking-tokens/introduction-to-eapt.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
